My Work
I am a Bangalore-based freelance journalist specializing in technology—particularly IT, electronics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence. Over the past two years, I have primarily worked as a research analyst specializing in semiconductors, electronics, and AI for international organizations.
Since 2007, I have written articles for several leading international publications, including Fortune (US), Nikkei Electronics Asia (Hong Kong), TelecomAsia (Hong Kong), EE Times US, EETimes Asia, The Edge (Malaysia), iTWire (Australia), and The Ojo Yoshida Report (US).
Before my freelance journey, I spent over a decade with The Times of India Group, one of India’s most prominent media houses. At The Times of India in Bangalore, I covered IT for nearly eight years and earlier spent three years with The Economic Times in Chennai, covering business and technology beats.

Had started my journalistic journey with The Financial Express, part of The Indian Express group in Chennai, reporting on business beats during an era when IT journalism was still in its infancy. Later, I was part of the electronic media, anchoring Business Plus from Chennai which was aired on the Plus Channel, part of the national TV network, Doordarshan.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of interacting and interviewing many global icons, including Bill Gates (Microsoft), Scott McNealy (Sun Microsystems), Craig Barrett (Intel), Larry Ellison (Oracle), and David Filo (Yahoo! co-founder). Among Indian leaders, I’ve spoken with visionaries like Infosys Chairman Narayana Murthy, Wipro Chief Executive Azim Premji, TCS’ Ramadorai, and HCL Chairman Shiv Nadar, to name a few.
Current Focus
Today, my expertise lies in semiconductors, electronics, and AI. I write on start-ups and established players, crafting human-interest stories that weave technology into relatable narratives or distilling complex technological advancements into accessible, engaging content.
I also take on research and analytical assignments, assisting organizations in decoding the latest industry trends. Over the past two years, I’ve focused on more extensive, long-term projects – most of them in the electronics, semiconductor and AI domains. However, these are covered by NDAs, so I’m unable to share links or details about them.
Writing Philosophy
Through years of experience, I’ve honed the ability to connect the dots—whether it’s unravelling the nuances of cutting-edge technologies or presenting 50 shades of tech in a story that captivates both experts and everyday readers.
My mission remains simple: to inform, engage, and communicate through real and impactful journalism and in-depth analysis.
And the journey continues…
